Bristol Blenheim Mk.I

Classic Airframes' 1/48 scale Blenheim Mk.I is available online from Squadron

Introduction

For a detailed examination of the contents of Classic Airframes' 1/48 scale Blenheim I, see the in-box review elsewhere on HyperScale.

Here are some photos of my recently competed 1/48 scale Classic Airframe Blenheim Mk.I.

It was as usual a challenge to build, but I beat it fair and square.

I opened the sliding portion of the canopy to add a bit of visual interest. I think the Mk.I to be the more interesting of all Blenheims with it's large greenhouse. Looks less "fish like" compared to the later issues.

I cut out the molded in leading edge landing lights and glued in clear plastic and filed to shape.

I didn't catch the wingtip navigation lights until the end of the build and ended up cutting them out and placing blobs of 5 Minute Epoxy into the cut out slots. When cured I filed them to shape and hit them with an application of Future. Another cheating quick fix!
