Description

Here is Matchbox’s 1/72 scale PB4Y-2 Privateer “Red Wing”.

I built it in middle of the 1990s with the emphasis on externals, because internal data was insufficient. This kit had many problem, but it remains one of my favorite models.

Propellers, cowlings, gears and guns and so on were adapted from Academy-Minicraft’s B-24J.

All of marking except the tail numbers were painted by myself. Nose art was also the same. Transparent parts were replaced with home made vacformed items.

I re-shaped all of other parts, and I thinned lines. Small points that represent the rivets were also added over the whole airframe.
