Eduard continues its prolific release schedule with a number of recent releases in all scales from 1/144 to 1/24.

We have a selection of October's 1/32 scale releases here for examination. All the detail sets are supplied in colour pre-painted or unpainted photo-etched metal.

Another recent innovation by the ingenious Eduard company is that the colour frets in all these releases are now self-adhesive. This will eliminate the risk of obscuring detail on tiny parts by smearing them with glue. The self-adhesive parts will require careful handling to maintain the effectiveness of the glue, and precise placement too.

The self-adhesive parts are packed on a protective backing sheet.

Tamiya's big beautiful 1/32 scale Strike Eagle is treated to four new releases this month.

The self-adhesive interior set is packed full of colour details on one fret, covering consoles, panels, displays and some smaller details. A second fret supplies structural parts for the large F-15E cockpit.

The exterior set enhances the airframe and radar with a wealth of nickel-plated photo-etched parts.

A separate colour photo-etched set of the seat focuses on the harness, but also includes details such as the ejection pull handles and smaller parts for the seat frame itself.

Hasegawa's 1/32 scale Spitfire MkVb is an older kit, but basically accurate in outline. However, it is sadly lacking in detail.

Eduard turns its attention to this kit, the only game in town in this scale, with three beautiful detail sets.

The interior set includes one self-adhesive colour photo-etched fret which supplies instrument panel, harness, small switch boxes, placards and other details. A second metal fret contains other cockpit structural details.

The large single fret of the exterior set will add plenty of detail to the wheel wells and general airframe, while the separate flap set will fully fit out the upper flap bays and the flaps themselves.

Eduard's two new photo-etched sets for this kit will lift the basic level of detail for the cockpit and the exterior.

The interior set includes one self-adhesive colour photo-etched fret which supplies instrument panel, harness, small switch panels, and other details. A second metal fret contains cockpit structural details.

The large single fret of the exterior set will add plenty of detail to the wheel wells and general airframe,

The interior set includes one self-adhesive colour photo-etched fret which supplies instrument panel, harness, throttle quadrant, small switch panels, and other details. A second metal fret contains cockpit structural details.

The large single fret of the exterior set will add plenty of detail to the wheel wells and general airframe.

The separate flap set will fully fit out the upper flap bays and the flaps themselves.

32 600 - Fw 190 Seat Belts self adhesive

 

 

This is a well-detailed and straightforward harness set for any 1/32 scale Focke-Wulf Fw 190. The self-adhesive nature of the parts will ease assembly, although care will be required when handling the smaller parts.
