Complementing the book on Luftwaffe JaboG F-104s is AirDOC Modern Combat Aircraft Special Series Number 4.

Bilband Pictorial “German Starfighters” is, as one would expect, a compilation of photographs of Luftwaffe Starfighters of all units from the 1960s onwards.

Over 64 pages Wilfried Zetsche provides close to 130 large full colour photographs each filling half a page. Whilst no body text as such is included, each photograph is accompanied by a bi-lingual caption.

Zetsche has organised this book by unit, with each section commencing with Unit badge artwork. Both line F-104s and the many special schemes that became prevalent in the late 1980s are documented.

Also included are many photos of Marine F-104s from MFG1 and 2. If a modeller wanted no other reference for inspiration when building a Luftwaffe F-104, then this would have to be it.

This is a great reference book and an excellent complement to the other AirDOC volumes on the Luftwaffe and F-104.

Highly Recommended.
