Special Hobby #SH72146 1/72

F 86K Sabre Dog Nato All Weather Fighter

In accordance with the US Mutual Defense Assistance Program for NATO Air Forces, a simplified version of the F-86D was designed. It was designated the F-86K. North American produced several aircraft but the main production line was shifted to Fiat in Italy, where license production had already started. The F-86K was put in service with the air forces of Italy, Holland, Norway, France and Germany. The older machines were later purchased by Turkey and Venezuela.

The kit contains three sprues with grey plastic parts, vacuformed canopy, resin wheels and photo-etched parts.

Decals are for three machines, all of them in natural metal finish. Italian and Dutch aircraft wear the unit marking on the vertical fin. The most fancy is the Norwegian aircraft that sports unit marking, shark mouth and art drawing of a dog. The stencils are particular to each aircraft.

Fokker D.XXI 4. sarja „Wing with Slots“

License built in Finland, the Fokker D.XXI powered by a US engine is one of the symbols of the heroic Finnish fight against the communist aggressor, the Soviet Union. Chosen camouflages reflect combat in all seasons. Decals offer 3 aircraft, but two of the aircraft have 2 different paint schemes. The most interesting is the FR-157, sporting a cartoon drawing of a Soviet soldier with a bayonet in his bottom! The kit contains the wing with slots and a ski undercarriage. The canopy is injected and also photo-etched parts are included.

F2G Super Corsair „Racing Plane“

When the Japanese “Kamikaze” attacks first occurred, the Allies tried to find an effective defense against these attacks. One of the defense solutions was to be an extremely powerful fighter aircraft, with excellent climbing ability and speed. One of these fighters was the F2G Super Corsair. Only 10 aircraft were produced before the end of WW2, most of them were sold to civilian users and became “pylon race” stars.

Our new F2G kit offers a choice of 3 fancy racer aircraft. One of the aircraft was recently reconstructed and is in flying condition. As well as this red and white “57” machine, the kit offers overall blue “74” with white checkerboard on the cowling and “18” Miss Port Columbus in blue and white colors.
