Here is the 1/72 scale Fujimi A-4E Skyhawk pretty much straight from the box with a vacuformed windscreen and a True Details seat.

 

I also cobbled together my own cannons and added the red beacon to the spine.

 

This job was unusual in that I was sent decals and detailed written instructions and notes on a drawing of another VMA-311 Skyhawk to show what the finished model was to look like. (My preference would be a photo or two.)

 

I found a couple photos of sister A-4s with VMA-311 in Vietnam for general info. I don't think the WL tail code would be seen on top of the right wing of a Marine A-4 of this era, but I cannot find a single look-down shot that shows this one way or another. (I have an old Fujimi 1/48th A-4 decal sheet that gives you these wing letters -- wonder what their reference sources were?)
