Quickboost continues its prolific release schedule with a number of recent releases in 1/48 scale.

All the sets are perfectly cast in grey resin, with minimal cleanup required. Consistent with Quickboost's philosophy to date, each set has been designed with a minimum of parts, and should be straightforward to assemble:

QB 48 146 - MiG-19 Air Scoops
QB 48 159 - F-4 Phantom II Air Scoops

These are simple replacement scoops for the fuselage of any F-4 Phantom or MiG-19 kit.

QB 48 161 - F-104 Starfighter FOD

FOD guards for the intakes on Hasegawa's F-104 Starfighter kits.

This is a nice idea - I do hope that we see more FOD guards from Quickboost in the future.

QB 48 172 - Spitfire Mk.IX Control Sticks

Drop fit replacements for any 1/48 scale Spitfire Mk.IX control column.

QB 48 174 - F6F-3 Hellcat Undercarriage Covers

In addition to supplying very nice bulged resin undercarriage doors for Eduard's Hellcat kit, this set also includes photo-etched details for the gear legs (including torque links). Very nice.

QB 48 175 - F-15E Ejection Seats with safety belts

Two complete seats for any 1/48 scle F-15E Strike eagle kit. Includes cast-on harness straps (in the retracted position) and photo-etched details.

QB 48 177 - Messerschmitt Bf 110 Radio Set

This is a simple, one-piece replacement for the radios in any of Eduard's 1/48 scale Bf 110 kits.

QB 48 180 - P-47D Thunderbolt Engine - Early

This is a well detailed replacement for Hasegawa's 1/48 scale P-47D family. Detail on the crank case is cast in place, as is lovely fine cooling fins on the cylinders. You'll have to make your own push rods and ignition harness though.

Quickboost has treated us to another stack of impressive replacement exhausts this month. Like the set for the Bf 110 E earlier this year, the exhausts for Eduard's 1/48 scale Bf 110 C will save the modeller a lot of fiddling, and will deliver finer detail too.
