Description

Here is my 1/48 Hasegawa Spitfire IXa (F IXc)‚ the first serie of Spitfire IX (with Merlin 61 engine were apparently often called IXa by pilots and ground crews).

This aircraft was flown during April-July 1943 by American (Texan) Ace Squadron Leader Lance C. Wade‚ O.C. 145 Sqn. He claimed 2 Bf 109 and 1 MC.202 + a Bf 109 and a MC.202 damaged while flying this aircraft.

Seatbelts are from Eduard‚ lower cowl with early style intake & large style cannon bay covers are from Ultracast.
