This release from Chris Busbridge titled “I Veltro Del Gatto Nero (Black Cat Veltros)” provides decals for six aircraft including three Regia Aeronautica and three Co-Belligerante schemes.

The sheet is designed by Italian aircraft enthusiast Maurizio Di Terlizzi for use with the new Pacific Coast Models 1/32 scale Macchi C.205 Veltro kit.

The decals are superbly printed by Fantasy Print Shop and have excellent colour saturation and register.  The carrier film is ultra thin and my experience with Fantasy Print Shop in the past has been that the decals handle easily and snuggle down into the surface detail nicely.  The carrier film then almost totally disappears under a coat of clear.

The decal sheet has much improved fasces and Savoy Crests than the markings provided by Pacific Coast Models in their Veltro kit but the production run is only limited to 120 sheets.

The instruction sheet is printed in colour and is to be used in conjunction with the Pacific Coast instructions for wing decal placement.  An essential reference for building the Veltro is Maurizio Di Terlizzi’s new Squadron Signal Walkaround on the Macchi 205 Veltro.

Thanks to Chris Busbridge for the sample.
