Model Alliance Decals, 1/72 & 1/48

Model Alliance continues to produce fine quality decal sheets.

This time, Part Three of the series depicts this time depicting a French Super Etendard and a Rafale B aircraft in special markings for the 2007 NATO Tiger meet.  The decals are available in both 1/72 scale MAS-72165 and 1/48 scale MAS-48165.

The decals are superbly printed for Model Alliance by Cartograf and have good colour saturation and register.  As usual the carrier film is ultra thin.

Thumbnail panels:

All the data decals are provided for the two aircraft depicted.  The guys have once again done a superb job of the decal artwork and the colour instruction sheet artwork.  Five thumbnail size photographs of the aircraft are included throughout the instruction booklet.  The instructions also give good detail on the colour schemes for all of the aircraft.

Two schemes provided are as follows:

1. Dassault Super Etendard Modernise from Flotille II of the French Navy.  The aircraft is finished in Overall FS 27925 Semi Gloss White with Black tiger stripes.  This aircraft has a tiger painted on the rear fuselage just below the vertical fin.  The recommended kits for this are 1/72 Italeri, Academy, and Airfix, 1/48 scale Heller/Airfix.

2. Dassault Rafale B of Escadron De Chasse 05.330 of the French Air Force.  The aircraft is finished in overall FS 36320 Medium Grey.  This aircraft has a White Fin, canard, fuel tank and wing leading edges with a broken tiger pattern edge.  One side of the fin has a tiger with the French national colours with the words Artic Tiger, while the other side has a tiger with the words Cote D Argent.  Recommended kits are 1/48 Heller and Hobbyboss Rafale B, and 1/72 Italeri Rafale B.

These markings will be a colourful addition to any Super Entendard or Rafale kits in 1/72 or 1/48 scales.
