Dragon's 1/72 scale
MiG-17 Fresco

by Jose Dardon

MiG-17 Fresco

Czech Model's 1/32 scale T-33 Shooting Star is available online from Squadron

Description

This is the MiG-17 from DML in 1/72 scale. It is a nice little simple kit.  I improved the interior: instrument panel, side panels, ejection seat with bits and pieces from scratch.

The cannon and pitots were made from hypodermic needles.

Wiring and hydraulics on wheel wells and struts were made with copper wire.

The clear canopy was thermoformed at home.

The Syrian markings came from Eagle Strike Decals. It depicts one of the machines captured by Israel and later sent to USA for evaluation.
