I’ve included 6 photo etch accessories in tonight’s review from BRENGUN. To assist you I have included images from the BREGUN website that show the PE in situ as this will give you a better idea rather than scans of the PE sheets and instructions.
The great advantage of all these sets is that they allow a more representative scale thickness in 1/72 and especially 1/144 scale that either the kit plastic or even resin cannot achieve while still maintaining structural integrity.
I only have one observation to make and that is in regard to the Bf 109F PE, BRENGUN provides the PE and acetate to replace the opening portion of the canopy. This will look great however, the forward and aft windscreen are the kit clear plastic. It is a pity that the differences in thickness will be noticeable; it is a pity the rear portion did not receive the PE treatment as well.
BRENGUN have provided 6 great Photo Etch sets here. With many manufactures producing some great 1/144 scale aircraft of late and enhanced detail to 1/72 scale kits, all these sets are highly recommended for the experience modeller.
Thanks to Brengun Models for the review sample.
