The modified engine, mated to a superb airframe by Artem Mikoyan and Mikhail Gurevich, produced a world class interceptor to rival anything the West could produce.

This second edition of the MMP book covers 152 pages and is jam packed with useful information and airframe details. The walk around section for example, includes 197 photos covering every aspect of the aircraft. Indeed, this photo essay is so complete you would be hard pressed to want anything more.

Anyone wanting a unique marking choice is well served by this publication as the 72 side profiles provide a wealth of painting inspiration for anyone attempting either the single or dual seat versions of this aircraft.

I like the MMP range of books. They offer the modeller a wealth of information in a manageable package. This really is a “one stop shop” for 99% of modellers out there.

Highly recommended
