Description

After a complex Vietnam Helicopter Diorama built over 15 months, to relax I joined a group build on an Italian forum dedicated to 1/72 aircraft to be build straight from the box.

The spirit of the group build was matched by a Hobby Boss Easy Assembly kit that my son had never built.

Unfortunately during the project I realized that I simply wasn't able to build a kit straight from the box. I start to scratch build the cockpit, ejection seat, landing gear, canopy and a few other details, so finally I had to leave it.

Rivetting was not the best I have ever done.

I painted all the non metallic part first, by the way the red/white band on the rudder have been copied by a nice 1/32 model found on internet....... but incorrectly, with the two colors inverted. I decide to leave it as it is, since in the meantime I was busy with another project, a bit more serious.

The metal finish has been done whit spray can color, purchesed in a hobby store, but sprayed with Airbrush.

Different shade of Model Master Metallizer has been used.

Humbrol Gun Metal has been used instead of oil color, as a wash for the panel lines.

All the ground equipment has been scratch build from styrene and brass wire.
