Special Hobby's 1/72 scale Whirlwind Mk.I is available online from Squadron.com

Description

This Airfix kit includes three vehicles: besides a BSA M20 motorcycle- being formed by just two parts - you can chose between building a Bedford MWD and a MWC.

“Water Carriers“ have been n widespread use on Bomber Command bases, supplying cooling water for warming up bomber engines.

Third subject is also a prominent RAF car, in full name called „Standard Light Utility” it was better known under its abbreviation “Tilly”.

This selection of vehicles is indicative: Airfix had sized down its larger “Bomber Command vehicle set” to this well sorted range.

Detailing of the parts, parts fit and the general layout and, at least, the usability of the decals are of quite high quality. I encountered no problems in constructing these important representatives of the Royal Air Forces vehicle fleet.
Personally, I am not interested in building dioramas, but these crafts look really fine besides a 1:72 scale Wellington, Blenheim or, as depicted on the pictures, a Whirlwind!

If you are interested in the building process, please have a look on the workbench at the JAM Forum.
