The TUI Travel fleet will eventually consist of fifteen Boeing 787-800 Dreamliners, with the following allocations to its subsidiaries:

  • Nine to Thomson of the UK,

  • One to Jetairfly of Belgium,

  • Three to Arke of the Netherlands, and

  • Two to TUI fly Nordic of Sweden

The first of TUI’s Dreamliners were delivered in 2013, while the last one will be delivered in 2016.

The decals come supplied in a re-sealable plastic bag with instructions that are nicely produced in colour and clearly indicate markings placement.  This sheet supplies markings and registrations to enable any Boeing 787 of the TUI fleet to be represented, and includes stencilling. Three methods or representing the windows are also provided for; with a choice of black with silver surrounds, blue fading to grey with silver surrounds, or simply silver surrounds to compliment the kit’s clear windows. I think this is a nice touch.

The reverse page of the instructions covers the placement of the various PE details provided as part of the package. The inclusion of these detail parts, which also appear very well produced, is another nice touch.

The decals look to be superbly printed and with excellent colour density.

I was very amused to read the disclaimer in small print at the bottom of the instructions - Note for Boeing License Department: Any likeness of these drawings to a Boeing 787 is purely coincidental and totally unintentional. “Yeah, Right!” As a popular beer advertising campaign says here in New Zealand. It’s a sad world where such steps need to be taken, and I seriously doubt it would afford any level of protection from a money-grabbing lawsuit anyway.
