Focke-Wulf Fw Ta 154 Moskito

Eduard's 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 110 E is available online from Squadron

Description

This is the HpH Models 1/32 Focke-Wulf Ta154 "Moskito".

This is certainly not a model for the novice. It put up the odd fight here and there, though being a Resin/Photo-etch/Steel/Brass kit it truly is a mixed media kit in every sense of the word.

I had a couple of new experiences whilst building this beast; firstly using two part resin adhesive which sets as hard as the resin the kit is made from but takes a bit longer to cure thoroughly and the second was the use of "Wet Transfer" decals which are fabulous and far easier to work with than I first thought they would be.

I was also surprised at the amount of scratch-building that was needed on such an expensive model, locating tabs for the fuselage, attachments for all the control surfaces and axles for the wheels as well as the nose undercarriage assembly and cockpit details.

Anyway, a full blow-by-blow build article will be coming in Model Airplane International magazine very soon.
