FirstLook

Brengun’s USN tow-bar kit is a perfect complement to modern US carrier deck dioramas and vignettes. However, unlike their 1/144 tow-bar kit, Brengun do not yet offer a 1/72 MD-3 Tow-Tractor to attach it to.

The single tow-bar comes in a small cellophane bag stapled to a card header along with instructions and a black backing paper. The simple instructions provide drawings indicating how the two resin shafts combine with PE fixtures to make the V-shaped tow-bar.

The resin shafts and pair of wheels should be straightforward to remove from their casting blocks and clean up. In the case or the PE Fret some of the parts are very small to remove and handle, whilst others will require care when being folded to shape. The result should be a highly detailed tow bar. I have included some images of an assembled but unpainted tow-bar from Brengun’s website.
