FirstLook

Xtradecal has released two new decal sheets for 1/32 scale Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc kits. These are great timing for the new Fly Model releases.

Tonight we are examining the second of these, Xtradecal's 1/32 scale "Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc Pt.2". This sheet offers markings for three varied Hurricanes.

Details are as follows:

  • Serial unknown, FM-E Flight Commander Gerald 'Stapme' Stapleton DFC & Bar 257 (Burma) Sqn, RAF Honiley, March, 1942. Overall Night.

  • BP588, RS-X Sqn Ldr S.C.Norris, Benina, Libya, November 1942. Finished in the tropical scheme of Dark Earth and Middle Stone over Azure Blue.

  • LD726/Y 113 Sqn F/O Graham Skellam, Burma 1944 finished in the Far East Temperate Land Scheme of Dark Earth and Dark Green uppersurfaces over Medium Sea Grey.

One full set of standard mid-war RAF and one full set of SEAC national markings are supplied.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across two folded double-sided A4 sheets. Both side plus upper and lower views are provided for all three aircraft. Stencils are not included.

Colour notes are supplied, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are beautifully printed and feature thin carrier film.

This release offers some interesting and colourful options for those building the new Fly 1/32 scale Hurricane kit.

Highly Recommended.
