Revell 1/32 scale P-51D Mustang Cockpit

Tamiya's 1/48 scale F4U-1A Corsair is available online from Squadron for only USD$25.99!

Description

I've been working on my test shot of Tamiya's brand new 148 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 and I have to say that they really have hit it out of the ball park.

It looks very nice in the box, but the model takes on a new dimension when it is being built.

The method for swapping out the open and closed engine bays is truly ingenious and there are lots of other examples of thinking outside the square, such as the alternative "frames" for raised or dropped flaps, the method of fixing the main undercarriage legs and many more.

I have just finished the open engine assembly and I am extremely impressed.

I'll have to put the model to one side for a little while but I can't wait to get this little beauty finished.

Here's a couple of photos to show where I am up to right at this moment.
