P-38F/G Lightning

Marcus Nicholls's build of Tamiya's new 1:48 Lockheed P-38F/G Lightning forms the main feature of Tamiya Model Magazine November 2019 (Issue No.289) with initial assembly and painting sequences covered in the previous issue, No.288 October 2019.

The cockpit was built straight from the box with the exception of some extra placards and Fine Molds plastic harness straps.

The kit gun barrels were replaced with brass Master barrels.

Characteristic chipping of the wings either side of the cockpit.

Tamiya has delieved another beautiful kit.
