Fündekals is proud to announce our long planned 8th TFW Wolfpack F-4C MiG Hunters project!  As usual (this seems to be becoming a pattern, have you noticed?), this started out as a small “easy” project and turned into a major undertaking.  To make a very long story short, literally everything we thought we knew about these historically important early F-4Cs based at Ubon, Thailand under the command of Col. Robin Olds in 1966 and 1967 was wrong!  With some outstanding research help from several highly knowledgeable F-4 denizens, including Robin Olds’ wingman on the morning of Operation Bolo, Ralph Wetterhahn, we’re pretty sure we’re rewriting the book on how these aircraft looked and were outfitted during the time of Col. Olds’ command of the wing.

Markings are provided for ten different F-4Cs, covering the period of Operation Bolo in early January 1967 through the latter part of the year when Olds relinquished command.  Several aircraft will feature multiple different markings variations.

We will provide plenty of background information as usual, including details heretofore not documented on both hardware and colors & markings, along with the stories accompanying each aircraft.

Work on this project is well along, and we hope to have the decals available (along with our new and drastically improved web site) by the end of 2020 or early 2021.  Stay tuned for more information as we have it!

As always, thanks for your support, stay safe, and have fun out there!

Available soon via our web site at www.fundekals.com and selected retailers world wide.

Thanks to fundekals for the information and images.
