FirstLook

Eduard has wasted no time producing a range of new accessories for the forthcoming Airfix 1/72 scale Bristol Beaufort Mk.I.

Tonight I review what I think are the two most useful of this new batch.

SS725 - Eduard Zoom Beaufort Mk.I for Airfix Kit. USD$24.95

Even the entry-level Zoom series offers super detail with one colour photo-etched fret providing the instrument panel, throttle quadrant, harness straps, radios, equipment boxes, structural detail on the forward fuselage sidewalls, a replacement pilot's seat and much more.

In my opinion they also represent good value.

Most of the detail is focused on the cockpit.

This will be a big update to the interior of your new Airfix 1/72 scale Beaufort.

CX588 Masks for Beaufort Mk.I. USD$9.95

Die-cut, self-adhesive masks for the canopy and wheels.

These represent a fast and accurate solution for an often disliked modelling task.

They will be especially welcomed by Beaufort modellers due to the intricately framed glasshouse canopy, nose and turret.

Conclusion

The use of the Zoom photo-etched fret will result in a noticeably better detailed Beaufort.

The masks will save you a lot of time and add sharp precision to the clear parts too!

These are very useful upgrades for your new Airfix Beaufort.

Thanks to Eduard for the review samples
