As depicted, it is the aircraft of Capt. William Hennon of the 7th FS / 49th FG based in Darwin, Australia during June of 1942.

Capt. Hennon was a U.S. Ace with 7 confirmed kills.

The "Bunyip" on the tail is in Australian aboriginal folklore a legendary monster said to inhabit the reedy swamps and lagoons of the interior of Australia. The U.S. pilots named it the 'Screamin Demon'.

Extras included in the build are a Quinta Studios 3D printed cockpit, UltraCast resin exhaust stacks, photo-etched gun sight and AeroMaster decals.

It is finished in an unusual scheme of medium green 42 over neutral grey.

The aircraft was airbrushed in Gunze Aqueous Acrylics and finished with oils, inks, pigmented powders and various pencils.

Thanks! Mark
