Xtradecal has just released a new 1/48 scale decal set that covers eight 1/48 scale Mitsubishi Ki-21 Sally options.

 

 

This will be good timing for the forthcoming ICM 1/48 scale kit

 

 

A nice variety of interesting colours are markings are included.

Details are as follows:

  1. Mitsubishi Ki-21-II-Ko(a), of Hamamatsu Army Flying School, Japanese Army Air Force, based at Hamamatsu Air Base, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, 1939.

  2. Mitsubishi Ki-21-Ib, of 2nd Chutai, 7th Kokutai, Japanese Army Air Force, based in Malaysia, 1942.

  3. Mitsubishi Ki-21-II-Ko(a), of 2nd Chutai, Hamamatsu Army Flying School, Japanese Army Air Force, based at Hamamatsu Air Base, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, 1943.

  4. Mitsubishi Ki-21-II-Ko(a) of 3 Koku gun, Japanese Army Air Force, based at Sembawang, Singapore, early, 1945.

  5. Mitsubishi Ki-21-I (a), of 2nd Chutai, 60th Hiko Sentai, Japanese Army Air Force, used in action over Manchuria China, 1939.

  6. Mitsubishi Ki-21-II Ko(a), of 1st Chutai, 81st Sentai, Japanese Army Air Force, based at Lakunai Air Base, East New Britain, 1943.

  7. Mitsubishi Ki-21-II Ko(a), of 22nd Hikoshidan, Japanese Army Air Force, based in Republic of Formosa, 1945.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across one folded double-sided A4 and one A5 sheets.

Both side views and upper and lower views are provided for all eight subjects

 

 

Colour notes are offered, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are perfectly printed and feature thin carrier film.

 

 

Two decal sheets are included. One has national markings and the second supplies unique markings for each option.
