Great New Books!

Dear Friends,

Denise and I hope that each of you and your families are doing well and looking forward to a safe and happy Labor Day weekend.

Speaking of labor, over the past couple of weeks, we have spent a great deal of time working behind the scenes on our website and our storage area so we can get you the books you want even faster. Depending on which of our pages you may have bookmarked on your computer, you may need to update your bookmarks.  The changes should make searches easier and more accurate and help our friends who sometimes help us with shipping find the books quickly.

We also got in a mountain of new and restocked books.  Because the list is long, I won’t say much about each one:

At the same time, in addition to the few named above, we have added almost 100 new book titles to our selection. These are spread over several of our web pages, so please browse DavidDoyleBooks.com to check out all the new books.  Normally, we would have offered some of these by reservation – the Panzer Tracts and Tankograd titles especially.  However, over 30% of the folks reserving our recent M1 and M1A1 Wrecker book failed to honor their reservations, leaving Denise and me with a number of books.  I am confident in time they will sell – we’ve heard nothing but good things about that title – but we simply can’t afford a repeat of that situation.  Thus, we’ve not offered these titles by reservation and are instead relying on “instinct” to order our stock.  Hopefully there are enough of the new titles on the shelves to satisfy everyone.

On a more positive note, we’ve restocked a lot of books over the past couple of weeks, including many of our gun books, among them the very popularWeapon Mounts for Secondary Armament, Warpaint, Classic Warship, AK, Abrams Squad, Schiffer, Legends of Warfare, and many more.
 
Unfortunately, because of ongoing problems getting Key magazines in a timely manner and in good condition, we have made the decision to drop that line.  As a result, our Labor Day special is 50% off all Key magazines.  This includes Aeroplane, Airfix Model World, Air Forces Monthly, Aviation News, Britain at War, Classic Land Rover, Classic Military Vehicles, Combat Aircraft, FlyPast - and while we are at it, we’ll extend that discount to MMiR as well!
