Tamiya's Skyraider in 1/48 Scale

D e s c r i p t i o n

Here are some pictures of the 1/48 scale Tamiya Skyraider built as "Sock it to 'Em" from 602nd Operations Squadron.

I used Aeromaster sheet 48-342, and added KMC's USAF seat and ordnance.

Gunze Acrylics (H303/FS34102, H309/FS34079, H310/FS30219, H311/ FS 36622) were
sprayed.

Each colour was highlighted by a cloud of a lighter colour, diluted in isopropylic alcohol to a point where it's almost transparent.

Some panels lines were darkened to enhance the contrast ("post shadowing" technique).

Exhaust stains simulated using Gunze "Weathering Soot", also diluted in isopropylic alcohol.
