Bristol Beaufighter TF.X

Description

Here are some pictures of my Tamiya 1/48 scale Beaufighter TF.X.

The model was built with the assistance of the Eduard photo etched set, KMC superdetail set (cockpit and engines flaps), Hi Tech set (wheels and elevators) and Cutting Edge engines.

I also scratchbuit flaps, gunners position (the transparent part is vacuformed) and part of the cockpit (unfortunatly not visible) and several other details.

Some panels on the fuselage were accentuated with Bare Metal Foil.

The model was entirely painted with Gunze paints. Pilots and mechanics came from Dartmoor model (metal figures).

This Beaufighter took me about 160 hours to finish.  The model took first place in final of IPMS National competition in Marseille (France) in November 2000.
