Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6

by Ron van Donkelaar

Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6

Description

This is a 1/48 scale Hasegawa model of a Messerschmitt Bf109G-6, flown by Unteroffizier Georg Amon, 7./JG 53 in June 1943.

The kit was built straight out of the box. I only added some minor details in the cockpit, struts in the nose radiator intake and harnesses.

The figures are a selection from kit no. 5532 from Dragon "Luftwaffe Day Fighter 'Battle of Britain' Ground Crew and Equipment Set". The mechanic had to be altered slightly to fit on the aircraft.

The "Öl- und Kühlmittelwagen" is an item from the WW2 Ground support equipment set no.04511 from Revell.
