Description

Here is Tamiya's 1/48 scale Brewster Buffalo.

This machine fought with 453 Sqn. RAAF in Malaya during the short campaign of December 1941.

I used the Eduard etched metal set for the cockpit, and the sliding section of the Falcon canopy. True Details wheels were also added.

Gunze paints were used on the upper surfaces. RAF Dark Earth and FS 34092 Medium Green wer the colours. Undersurfaces were painted in Tamiya Sky Grey and Aeromaster Flat Black.

Decals were from Aeromaster for an aircraft flown by Sgt. Read. Both the aircraft and the pilot were lost when the Buffalo rammed a Ki-43 Oscar after running out of ammunition.
