Fokker D-XXI

by Jean Barby

Fokker D.XXI

Description

This model is based on the 1/48 scale Classic Airframes Fokker D-XXI

I added some resin parts from of obscure Finnish origin, mainly for the engine cowl and forward fuselage up to the firewall.

The Finns adapted Twin-Wasp junior engines to the airframe of the Fokker D-XXI, thus modifying the silhouette of the plane in a major way.

The entire tail surfaces, rudder and stabilisers were made from scratch, and the long greenhouse canopy was made for me by the famous French modeller, Jean Bodson.
