Description

Here is a 3D virtual scene I built recently.

It depicts a Handley-Page Halifax B.III held on the controllers Aldis Lamp ready for another trip into Germany at dusk from a northern airfield somewhere in England. A few personnel wave them off and wish them luck, perhaps the last people they will see!

I built the Halifax over a few months, off and on, using Truespace 2 software. This software is available free now. The figures, sky and some textures are also free from www.3dcafe.com

Some touching up and adding of uniforms was done in Photoshop 4. If, like me, you like all things Bomber Command you'll know the lack of models available is frustrating so why not try building one on your PC. I don't have any special skills and the software is free. Check out your computer magazines.

Building in 3D can take some time but is not unlike modelling. Get some plans and have a go!
