Description

This is Tamiya's 1/35 scale M-42 Duster. The US Army started to produce this vehicle in the 1950s and it was very successful in "Vietnam".

Normally it has a crew of 6 (Not in the box, or can be collected from M3 or M113 soldiers).

This model can be built in 3 versions.

1) US Army "Vietnam"

2) JGSDF Japanese Army and

3) Former West German Army.

This is a very nice and easy to build model. The cannon and their mount and mechanisms are especially well detailed. There are two seats, (brown), one fire extinguisher (red). They give a good contrast to the model with weathered cannons.

As the main color I used Tamiya (TS-5 Olive-Drab). After this, I used a bit of "burnt umber" dust pastel and pencil dust, and Humbrol 56 Aluminium for some places.

The guns can be turned 360 degrees and cannons can move up and down. It has t20 machine guns and the front door can be built "open" if needed.

This model is suggested for US Army fans, especially "Nam" enthusiasts.
