Panther Ausf. G

This Panther Ausf G was built about a year ago using 3d studio Max 2.5. Lack of resource material coupled with the low spec of my computer resulted in a model not as accurate as I would like. Despite this I was still pretty happy with the final mesh.

Then came the problems of applying a camouflage scheme I was happy with. First was an unusual grey/brown scheme representing a machine which saw action in the battle for Berlin, followed by a more tradtional pattern worn by a Normandy machine. Eventually I settled on a late war ambush scheme.

To give my Panther the look of a veteran, it still wears a zimmerit pattern applied during an earlier campaign and has only a few side skirts left.
