Supermarine Spitfire Vb

Tamiya's 1/48 scale Spitfire Vb is available online at Squadron.com

This is the 1/48 scale Tamiya Spitfire Vb.

My model depicts the aircraft flown by Wing Commander Stefan Witozenic. He was wing leader of the second Polish fighter wing during the allied landings at Dieppe in 1942.

The unusual nose markings were applied during training leading up to the Dieppe raid to assist in forming with large numbers of aircraft.

The kit was built using the Eduard etched detailed set. I also used Aeromaster decals and paints with stretched sprue for the aerials.
