Hasegawa's 1/48 scale Spitfire VIII is available online from Squadron.com

Description

Here is Hasegawa's 1/48 scale Spitfire VIII built as an aircraft of 452 Squadron RAAF.

The model was built straight from the box using the parts for the Mk. VIII included with the Mk. IX boxing.

RLM 70 Black Green is a good match for RAAF Dark Green, a late war Australian colour. I used Gunze RLM 70 for this upper-surface colour. I also mixed lighter shades and painted various panels to give the impression of uneven fading.

Aeromaster RAF Azure Blue was applied to the undersurfaces, as this aircraft was originally camouflaged in Desert colours.

Decals were from Ventura.

When the painting and decalling was finished I sprayed several coats of Aeromaster Semi-Gloss Varnish because these aircraft were waxed and polished for maximum performance.
