This is Hobbcraft's 1/48 scale deHavilland Vampire FB.5.

This aircraft flew with the AMI (Italian Air Force) in the late 1940s and early 1950s.

The kit is quite poor in many respects. I used Eduard photoetched parts to address some detail areas.

A drop of white was added to Humbrol Silver to achieve the overall Aluminium finish. Decals are from Tauro Model.

The subject aircraft was based at a flight school in Milano.
