Description

Chris Wauchop has built Tamiya's old 1/35 25 Pdr. Field Gun for his 90 year old father as a Christmas present.

Chris's father served as a Lieutenant in 2/7 Regiment, 9th Division AIF in North Africa. He often performed in the forward observation role due to his accurate estimation and trigonometric skills. After North Africa, he was posted to the Pacific where he served at Tarakan, amongst other places.

Chris built the kit straight from the box and painted it with a mix of 50% Tamiya Desert Yellow and 50% White. The heavily worn metal and paint chipping was replicated with a 2B clutch pencil (a mechanical drafting pencil).
