Description

Here is another U.S. aggressor, the Douglas A-4F Skyhawk in 1/48 scale from Monogram.

Many years before Hasegawa released its Skyhawk, I had an "aggressor phase". After the completing the Hornet and a black F-5E it was the Skyhawk's turn. Many photos of my chosen subject from all angles were found in my reference books. This is an A-4F of VA-127 with the number 154190.

The few differences between my A-4F and the A-4E, such as the missing antennas under the fuselage, spoilers at the top of the wings and the additional tank with a flat end were added. However, my joy because of the decal sheet from Microscale was short - all the colors of the decals were wrong in comparison with the photos.

I therefore had to airbrush all elements or make new ones. After two weeks of hard work in the cellar with the airbrush the model was ready.
