Description

Here is the brand-new 1/48 scale PZL P.11c (Mirage kit #48101) built straight from the box by Tomasz Gronczewski, an excellent Polish modeler.

As Tomasz said, the model did not look like a Tamigawa offering at the start.

The highlights of the kit include good reproduction of corrugated wing skin, especially on the under side, a detailed engine (7 pieces) and cockpit.

The photoetched fret includes cockpit detail, access panel covers and other small exterior items such as aileron hinges, gun sight etc.

The fuselage halves were not so good at first look. Some care is needed dry fitting the fuselage halves. Problems were experienced when attaching the instrument panel, but Tomasz solved it supergluing it to wire spar glued between fuselage halves.

Otherwise, the model builds up in a very straightforward way without fit problems.

Tomasz's model looks outstanding.

Mirage Hobby's 1/48 scale PZL P.11c is available on pre-order from Squadron. Delivery from Mirage Hobby factory starts next week.
