Academy's 1/48 scale Spitfire XIVe is available online from Squadron.com

Description

Here is Academy's 1/48 scale Spitfire XIVe in S.E.A.C. camouflage.

The model was built straight from the box with some scratchbuilding and add-ons.

The cockpit interior was built up by using an Eduard etched frame and scratch built boxes an some handles. Some rod was also added.

The camera and its access hatch completely scratchbuilt from some sheet and the lens from the headlight of an old truck in 1:25 scale.

Rod was added to simulate the brakelines.

The model was painted using Aeromaster enamels and weathered with artist oils and pastel chalks.
