Tachikawa KI-9 "Spruce"

Nichomo's 1/48 scale Spruce is available online from Squadron.com

Description

Here is my model of the Tachikawa KI-9 "Spruce". This aircraft is from the Taichiari Flying School.

Although produced a number of years ago, Nichimo's 1/48 scake KI-9 is one of those overlooked kits. I believe that it is the only one for this aircraft.

It is really not a bad kit, although it does lack details by today's standards.

The interior of the cockpit is fairly well detailed with the exception of the instrument panel.

Assembly is rather easy. The underwing detail of the ribbing is pretty much non existent.

Paints used were Floquil Orange and the rest were Model Master.

It really is a shame we don't have more kits of Japanese aircraft!
