Airs continues its prolific release schedule with a number of recent releases in 1/72 scales.

All the sets are perfectly cast in grey resin, with minimal cleanup required. Each set has been designed with a minimum of parts, and should be straightforward to assemble:

7143 - Bf 109 G-10 Cockpit

Aires once again turns its attention to Revell's inexpensive1/72 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-10 with this new small-scale cockpit set. The ten grey resin parts comprise a new cockpit tub with late-style seat cast in place, sidewalls gunsight, control column, two styles of breech cover and a few small details. A clear resin part is also supplied for the Galland Panzer pilot's head armour.. The set is further enhanced with a small photo-etched fret supplying harness, instrument panel and many other tiny details. A printed acetate sheet of instruments rounds out this small but perfectly formed detail set.

7163 - F-14A Tomcat Cockpit

This is a beautifully detailed replacement for Hasegawa's 1/72 scale F-14A Tomcat kit. Exquisite detail is replicated using only around 14 resin parts thanks to clever casting of detail onto the main parts. These are supplemented with a small photo-etched sheet containing the instrument panels, harness straps and some smaller details.

7164 - Rolls-Royce Nene Engine

21 resin pieces and a photo-etched fret make up this well-detailed pioneering powerplant that will be suitable for display next to or, for the truly brave modeller, inside a selection of early jet aircraft.

7167 - F-16D Fighting Falcon Cockpit

This is a beautifully detailed replacement for Hasegawa's 1/72 scale F-16D kit. Exquisite detail is replicated using only around 13 resin parts thanks to clever casting of detail onto the main parts. These are supplemented with a small photo-etched sheet containing the instrument panels, harness straps and some smaller details.

7169 - GRU-7A Ejection Seats

For modellers who do not want to go to the trouble of fitting an entire cockpit, Aires offers the option of a pair of HRU-7A Ejection Seats. These are the same as supplied in the full cockpit set reviewed above, but they will presumably also fit the Fujimi F-14A kit too.

Detail really is fantastic. You'd be hard pressed from these photos, many times the size of the actual parts, to pick the parts as 1/72 scale.

7170 - F-15C/D Exhaust Nozzles (Late Version)

Super detailed resin and photo-etched replacement exhaust nozzles for Hasegawa's 1/72 scale F-15C/D kits.

7165 - JAS-39C Gripen Exhaust Nozzle (closed)
7166 - JAS-39C Gripen Exhaust Nozzle (open)

These simple yet beautifully detailed set each comprise four resin parts and one small photo-etched fret to depict a closed or open jet nozzle for the JAS-39C Gripen.
