Harold, he of AMS Resins, continues to turn out those things that
often go neglected. This time it's a set of corrected intakes with soft
FOD covers for the Revell-Monogram A-6E Intruder in 1/48.
These are a handed pair of intakes with the correct shape, and with
the less common (as far as I know) soft FOD covers. I do believe that a
set of corrected intakes with the more common hard FOD cover will be
available from AMS shortly.
The presentation of the cover fabric is nicely done, and the fit,
after some careful swipes with coarse, medium, and fine sanding sticks,
is excellent. These are in AMS' now usual grey resin and have no air
bubbles.

Photos should be checked for the cord that tautens the cover just aft
of the intake and the location of the fastening point. The only other
advice which Harold gives is that the splitter plate (molded onto the
fuselage) should be carefully sanded down so that there is less
thickness to it. Sand and then fit the intake.
I have yet to see anything from AMS that isn't first-rate. Keep it
coming, Harold.
