Ultracast, 1/48 scale

Ultracast has released six new update sets for three kits. Casting on all six sets is up to the usual superb standards of this Canadian company, and cleanup of all parts will be fast and simple.

The specific sets are as follows:

48180 1/48 - Hawker Hurricane Mk II Rotol 11'3" Propeller with Round Tips (fits Hasegawa kits)

48181 1/48 - Hawker Hurricane Mk II Rotol 11'3" Propeller with Tapered Tips (fits Hasegawa kits)

Ultracast turns its attention once again to the  Hawker Hurricane. This time, we are presented with the choice of either tapered or rounded tips on Rotol propeller blades. These will suit any 1/48 scale Hurricane Mk.II kit.

48182 1/48 - Nakajima Ki 84 Hayate (Frank) Seats (without Harness)

48183 1/48 - Nakajima Ki 84 Hayate (Frank) Seats (with Harness)

Here are two sets of beautifully detailed replacement seats for Tamiya's or Hasegawa's 1/48 scale Ji-84 Hayates. Both sets include two seats each.

Set number 48182 is an empty seat with no harness, while set number 48183 has lap harness straps cast in place.

Both sets represent a major improvement over the kit part.

48184 1/48 - Mitsubishi A6M Zero Seats (without Harness)

48185 1/48 - Mitsubishi A6M Zero Seats (with Harness)

Ultracast has taken up the challenge thrown down by the thin, perforated seat of the A6M Zero. The resin casting is quite exquisite, with all the delicate detail cast in place.

Set number 48184 includes two seats without harness, while 48185 includes a jumble of lap straps and a single shoulder harness draped across the top of the seat.

These resin parts are a massive improvement over any of the plastic seats supplied in Zero kits.

Ultracast notes that these are very delicate parts and should be used by experienced modellers only.
