Aerocraft Model has sent information and images of their latest releases for the new 1/48 scale Tamiya F-4B Phantom II and the Airfix 1/72 scale Avro Vulcan:

MCDONNELL PHANTOM F-4B ALTERNATE FRONT SCREEN FOR TAMIYA - £5.00

https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/mcdonnell-phantom-f-4b-alternate-front-screen-for-tamiya

This an alternate front screen to be used on the new Tamiya kit. Jennings Heilig has pointed out to me that although the screen variant in the kit was used, it was only on later aircraft after 1980, and was also then just in small numbers.

With that in mind I have carefully amended the kit canopy and recast it, as it is offered here. From the pictures you will see the area that has been removed, shown on actual aircraft and marked in black on the one kit part.

Note the casting block and the side flash are easily removed, and the part will just drop in.

AVRO VULCAN CANOPY AND SCREEN WIPERS FOR THE NEW AIRFIX KIT - £7.00

This is a new canopy for the Airfix kit, although a great kit and is light years ahead of the much older kit the kit canopy is let down by having the wipers moulded on, added to that they are in the incorrect position and the central window is missing a wiper.

With some careful work and a little bit of time on the CAD, I now have a new cast canopy and separate 3D printed resin wipers. As the wipers are really small and delicate I will be offering two sets of wipers for any mishaps.

The third picture shows the original kit canopy and the new cast canopy.

Note the casting block and the side flash are easily removed, and the part will just drop in.

Thanks to Aerocraft Models for the information and images.
