Recommendation: The use of this photo-etched set will result in a noticeably better detailed Dora cockpit in the Weekend Edition kit, especially the instrument panel and harness straps. If you only want harness straps, Eduard has that covered too. These are relatively simple and noticeable upgrades for the Eduard 1/48 scale Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 Weekend Edition kit.

Eduard has just released two new photo-etched upgrade sets for their 1/48 scale Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 Weekend Edition.

 

Item No. FE1209 - ZOOM Photo-Etch

The first new release is a ZOOM set, comprising one compact fret that contains detail parts mainly for the cockpit in pre-coloured and nickel-plated photo-etch.

 

 

The set includes a replacement instrument panel, harness straps, rudder pedals, trim chains and more.

 

 

Although the parts are mainly destined for the cockpit, the fret also contains a Morane mast, FuG 25a antenna, DF loop and tail braces for the centreline bomb.

 

 

Full instructions are offered on a folded, double-sided A4 sheet.

 

 

FE1211 - STEEL Seat Belt

If you are satisfied with the Weekend Edition's plastic instrument panel, Eduard also offers a simple set of STEEL harness straps.

 

 

Although the STEEL label makes these sound rigid, they are in fact very thin and flexible.

 

 

The look great too, with half-tone printing and crisp colours.

 

 

 

Conclusion

 

The use of this photo-etched set will result in a noticeably better detailed Dora cockpit in the Weekend Edition kit, especially the instrument panel and harness straps.

If you only want harness straps, Eduard has that covered too.

These are relatively simple and noticeable upgrades for the Eduard 1/48 scale Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 Weekend Edition kit.
