Eduard has released a set of six gun barrel for their brand new 1/48 scale F4F-3 Wildcat kit.

 

 

The 3D printed resin parts are packed in a small strong clear plastic case and secured to an adhesive spot.

The exhausts are crisply detailed with recessed holes in rhe cooling jackets and hollowed-out muzzles. The kit's plastic barrels are not hollowed out so these will represent an easy upgrade.

 

 

I would urge you to use caution when removing the resin parts from their adhesive backing. They are pretty tightly affixed, and too much effort may launch the tiny delicate parts across the room into the unwelcome embrace of the dreaded carpet monster.

 

 

Assembly self-explanatory. These are drop fit replacements for the kit parts.

 

 

Conclusion

 

These gun barrels will be another luxurious finishing touch for your Eduard 1/48 scale Wildcat.
