Xtradecal has just released a range of brand new 1/48 scale decals covering the Avro Anson Mk.I. This will be ideal for the impressive all-new Airfix 1/48 scale Anson released last year, but will be equally relevant to the old Classic Airframes kit.

Today we are taking a look at Part 1.

 

 

Six subjects are offered.

 

A nice selection of interesting colours are markings are included.

Details are as follows:

    1. Avro Anson Mk.I, W2531, of No.8 Service Flying Training School, Royal Canadian Air Force, based at Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, September, 1941

    2. Avro Anson Mk.I, W2531, 'J3', of No.31 Air Navigation School, Royal Canadian Air Force, based at Port Albert, Ontario, Canada, 1941.

    3. Avro Anson Mk.I, N9561, of No.9 Flying Training School, Royal Air Force, based at RAF Hullavington, UK, during 1939 - 1940.

    4. Avro Anson Mk.I, N9742, 'MW.Y' of 321 (Dutch) Squadron, Royal Air Force, based at RAF St Eval, UK, 1940.

    5. Avro Anson GR.Mk.I (Early), K6189, 'VX.R', of 206 Squadron, Air Force, based at RAF Bircham Newton, UK, 1939.

    6. Avro Anson Mk.I (Early), NZ418, 'V' of School Of General Reconnaissance, Royal New Zealand Air Force, based at RNZAF Station Omaka, New Zealand, 1943-1944

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across two folded double-sided A4 and one double-sided A5 sheets.

Both side views and upper and lower views are provided for all six subjects

 

 

Colour notes are offered, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are perfectly printed and feature thin carrier film.

 

 

A smaller second sheet provides additional serials and national markings.
