Aerocraft Model has sent information and images of their four latest releases:

A-20 Havoc Nose Gear Strut

https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/douglas-a-20-havoc-nose-strut-for-132-hkm-kit-196-p.asp

After almost a year this set has been revisited and I think has been improved slightly. The picture of the new brass part shows that the main cross member that attaches to the side of the wheel bay has been increased in diameter. This was done to enable the brass part to be cast well and to offer strength. The attachment holes in the wheel bay side to accept this part do need to be drilled out to accept the new part. I have also allowed for a much extended main shaft to be left on the nose strut, this is so for those that wish extra 'super' strength to the strut could leave this in place and secure the strut through the wheel bay 'roof'.

This is a improved design for the A-20 nose strut. new design will allow either the kit wheel or aftermarket wheels that use the same hub design as the kit parts to be used.

Included are 3D printed resin bushes and a length of brass rod to be used as an axle for the wheel.  No bending and flimsy support for this aircraft any more. Note you will need to clean up some casting sprue gates from the parts and the odd small brass 'inclusions' that may appear through the casting process.

After many requests and revisiting the model I have now decided to offer the main undercarriage as well. To keep this as simple as possible the main undercarriage is offered as as separate set see ACM32057A for the main undercarriage set.

Grumman F-7F Tigercat brass undercarriage for Italeri and AMT kits

https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/grumman-f-7f-tigercat-brass-undercarriage-for-italeri-and-amt-kits-237-p.asp

This set is the kit parts cast in brass, no bending and flimsy support for this aircraft any more.

I have taken the main kit parts and refined them a little and added the scissor linkages and the loop tie downs with 3D printed parts and will be seen a small length of plastic rod to complete the nose strut. Other kit parts are used to complete the assembly.

Note you will need to clean up some casting sprue gates from the parts and the odd small brass 'inclusions' that may appear through the casting process.

Fairey Gannet AS.1 / AS.4 brass undercarriage set for the 1/48 Airfix kit

https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/fairey-gannet-as1--as4-brass-undercarriage-set-for-the-148-airfix-kit-239-p.asp

This set is the kit parts cast in brass, no bending and flimsy support for this aircraft any more.

I have taken the main kit parts and refined them a little and have added new detailed 3D printed  scissor linkages and a strut that is attached to the main undercarriage. Other kit parts are used to complete the assembly.

Note you will need to clean up some casting sprue gates from the parts and the odd small brass 'inclusions' that may appear through the casting process.

Fairey Gannet T.2 /T.5 conversion for 1/48 Airfix Gannet AS.1 / AS.4 kit

https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/fairey-gannet-t2-t5-conversion-for-148--airfix-gannet-as1--as4-kit-242-p.asp

This is a set of parts that will enable a T2 or a T.5 Fairey Gannet to be built using the Airfix AS.1 /AS.4 kit.

The conversion set includes both resin cast parts and a few smaller 3D printed parts.

Finding the details for this conversion has proved challenging and after a lot of searching and thinking I believe I have come up with a reasonable set that will surely make the Gannet look and feel like the training versions. The only major cut and change to the kit is removing the port side section from the fuselage to allow for the new resin part to be fitted. Full instructions will follow soon.

As for decals I do hope to produce one or two options in the next few months, however I have on good authority that the Xtradecal (X48237) this has both a Royal Navy option and a Royal Australian Navy option set will soon be restocked by Hannants.
